Disclaimer:  Lock covers are still being tested for use while the vehicle is in motion.  Although others and myself have had no issues driving with lock covers installed, I can not predict how the lock covers will perform in all driving situations or conditions you encounter.  If you decide to drive with the lock covers installed, you do so at your own risk.  If you are unsure of the driving conditions or situation, I recommend removing the lock covers and store them when your vehicle is in motion.  Remember to store them somewhere they won’t damage anything sensitive to magnets.

The lock covers were designed to help during the colder months.  High temperatures may damage the cover material and magnets.  To extend the lifetime of the lock covers, we recommend uninstalling them during the warmer months of the year.

Designed

I designed.  I made prototypes.  I re-designed.  I made more prototypes.  Then I did it again to make sure I got it right.

Tested

I was lucky enough to experience weather conditions to test the cover.  They worked great!

It Works!

Now it’s time to offer everyone a simple upgrade to their camper.  We are happy with the design and performance.  We think you will be happy too.

How It Works

When mounted to your camper, each lock cover utilizes 12 Neodymium magnets (6 in the cover and 5 to 6 in the magnetic mount).  Each magnet has almost a *17lb pull strength. allowing the covers to be pulled tightly.  All magnets are encased inside the plastic for maximum durability.  The magnets pull the cover tightly over the lock while a weather strip helps prevent water intrusion.  Moisture already present in the locks could still freeze the locks, so these lock covers are best used when the locks and area around them are dry.

*Magnet pull strength is measured by sandwiching the magnet between two pieces of metal and measuring the force it takes to pull them apart.

Magnet Mount

A Magnet Mount with 5 to 6 strong magnets installed inside on your camper’s lock.  Each magnet is encased inside every mount to prevent them from being lost or damaged.

Lock Cover

There are 6 strong magnets encased inside every Lock Cover.  Each magnet has almost a 17 lb. pull strength.  When matched up to the lock mount, these magnets have a very strong pull.

Weatherstrip

Each Cover comes with a weatherstrip inside a carefully designed channel.  When the Cover and Magnet Mount pull together, the weatherstrip acts as a seal to help keep your lock dry.

ATTENTION! – These are strong magnets so please review the magnet supplier’s warning below.

WARNING:  NdFeB magnets are very powerful and can be dangerous if not handled with the proper care.  Do not bring within 12 inches of any magnetic based storage devices such as desktop or laptop computers, hard drives, floppy disks, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, ore credit cards.  Keep away from computer monitors, VCR’s and TV’s.  If you or someone in your household has a PACEMAKER, please consult your doctor about possible risks before purchasing magnets or products with magnets.  Do not let these magnets snap together with their full force or they will break and quite possibly send small pieces of metal flying in all directions.  Do not attempt to machine or drill the magnets.  High temperatures during these processes could cause the magnet powder to ignite.  Neodymium magnets can pinch very hard.  For your own safety do not allow fingers or any part of your body to come in between the magnets.  Do not ingest or inhale magnets.  Attraction of magnets in the body may cause serious injury and require immediate medical care.
