V1 Lock Cover Information/Specs

3D printed cover for the locks on the GFC V1.  Moisture present in the latch can freeze.  Lock covers can help limit additional moisture from entering and potentially freezing the latch.  The V1 lock covers will be available thanks to the collaboration with V1 owners.

• 3D printed using Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG)
• Color – Black
• Uses multiple strong magnets built into the cover and magnet mount.
• Uses a synthetic rubber weatherstrip seal
• No Cutting Necessary – You’ll just need a screwdriver
• Dimensions: 5.5″ x 2.25″ x .625″

Disclaimer:  Lock covers are still being tested for use while the vehicle is in motion.  Although others and myself have had no issues driving with lock covers installed, I can not predict how the lock covers will perform in all driving situations or conditions you encounter.  If you decide to drive with the lock covers installed, you do so at your own risk.  If you are unsure of the driving conditions or situation, I recommend removing the lock covers and store them when your vehicle is in motion.  Remember to store them somewhere they won’t damage anything sensitive to magnets.

The lock covers were designed to help during the colder months.  High temperatures may damage the cover material and magnets.  To extend the lifetime of the lock covers, we recommend uninstalling them during the warmer months of the year.
